During the last few years the glaciated areas of Nevado del Ruiz volcano have been closed to the public due to its constant activity. If you arrive through the Brisas sector, a National Parks representative will sit you through a 20 minutes informative presentation of the rules and regulations on how to make the best of your visit to the National Park. Although, one can not visit the snow or nearby areas of Ruiz, travelers are still allowed to visit some areas of the National Park. Enjoy a professionally guided visit to the park and learn about its flora, fauna and giant active volcanoes.
